Moving to Juneau... any cheaper way?

I have 3 months to get everything together. (my wife did a "voluntary" transfer) Now I need to plan and pay for a move from Albuquerque New Mexico to Juneau. The lowest I have gotten down to is $5210. That's 1683 for a U-haul and 3527 for the ferry from Bellingham. I haven't even tried to calculate food, hotel, and gas. Does anyone know of a cheaper option?

Nope, only way to get into Juneau is by Air or Boat, and a ferry would be alot cheaper than a plane. So you made the right choice.

Shop the U-Haul... or buy a trailer and sell it when you get to Juneau. other than that you are looking at it in the eye.
