| I'm going to Brazil in a month and would like to get some tips about where to go & what to do...? Where would u advise to go for new year's eve? My friend wanted to go to Ilha Grande but now changed her mind for Florianopolis...if u know any of these places and know a nice, central, cheap hostel or hotel that would be greatly appreciated.I also heard from most people I know who have been there that they got mugged at some stage or another. I ve been to India and Thailand and never had any problem but I m now worried about going to Brazil as we are 2 girls travelling on our own. What do yous think? |

| I'm going to Brazil in a month and would like to get some tips about where to go & what to do...? Floripa is a fairly large island. There are places on the beach, more secluded and distant. There are places in town. Depends what you want. If you end up going to Santa Catarina and like beaches, check out Praia do Rosa.As for safety, if you are an experienced traveler just take the same precautions you would elsewhere. Things can happen in Brazil, as they can elsewhere, but the alarmists are overstating their case. |

| I'm going to Brazil in a month and would like to get some tips about where to go & what to do...? Florianópolis is the best...I´ve been there last year and had a great time...nice people, excellent food, great beaches...everything was excellent.About being mugged, Florianópolis is very secure city...but if you go to big cities like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Recife...use common sense.98% of people who have been mugged didn´t use common sense...so, don´t flash valuable things, don´t flash money, don´t talk loudly in foreign language, don´t bring your notebook to the beaches, don´t walk empty streets at late night... |

| I'm going to Brazil in a month and would like to get some tips about where to go & what to do...? go Buzios, www.buziosonline.com.brcheck www.abracadabrapousada.com.brreally nice, close to Rio.Ilha Grande is great, but for 2 girls alone Buzios is safer, a lot more cosmopolitan and close to Rio.Also most B&B in Buzios can provide tranportation from Rio International.Enjoy |

Keep windows closed. DOnt talk to strangers have funD!http://wikitravel.org/upload/en/thumb/0/01/Copacabana-panorama.jpg/400px-Copacabana-panorama.jpg |

Brazil is a great country. You can visit São Paulo in Brazil. It is the largest city in Brazil.ItThe city is known for its varied and sophisticated cuisine, ranging from Chinese to French, from fast food chains to five star restaurants. There are approximately 62 different types of cuisines in São Paulo, and more than 12,000 restaurants.[69] Other venues such as bars, pubs, lounges and discos cater to a variety of music tastes.
It is a major cultural centre. The city has an ethnically diverse metropolitan area, with heavy Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, among other influences. There are also lots of famous Museums,Theaters and Landmarks. As in the rest of Brazil, football is by far the most popular sport in the city.
You should avoid wearing fine jewellery on the street and keep expensive cameras out of sight. With sensible precautions like these, São Paulo is a city that can be enjoyed day and night. And with a climate that is mild throughout the year, there is never a bad time to visit. |
