Default Does anyone know any nice but not so expensive hotels in Oahu, Hawaii? I may be going next summer for vacation

Next summer I will be going on vacation to either Boracay Beach,Phillippines or Oahu, Hawaii with my friend (we will both be 18 in a few months). I haven't decided yet. But Boracay Beach has hotels that are much cheaper. On the other hand the ones in hawaii (that i looked at online) are much more expensive. But really really want to go to Hawaii more though.

My cousins who work front desk recommends hotels.com & expedia.com for best prices. Also check vacation rentals ~ http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Vacation+Rentals+Oahu&btnG=Searchht tp://honolulu.craigslist.org/ you can stay in condo which maybe nicer & cheaper than hotel & you can cook/make sandwiches to take with during the day in a kitchen w/refrigerator which will cut your food costs significantly. Check all the different "Housing" options on craigslisthawaiiAirfare/ rooms go up around 2nd - 3rd week in June until end of Aug.... b4 or after these dates you can save some money. Hawaiian Airlines has good rates.

Look on Orbitz for the hotel prices, then bid on Priceline.com at half the price ~ you may just get it.
