Default Hawaii for Less?

I am not saying i am cheap but 3.000 for 10 days I think that is a lot of money, + activities and food so round up with 5-6K !!! ...Now I heard from the locals that people usually book some small houses, or lease for a week or even two. And only costs 700 of sometimes even less for a 2 bedroom w/ kitchen house or whaever is called. Where can i find such things? I mean is there anyway to go to Hawaii and spend those 10 days without spending 3K on hotel and flight( that was the cheapest)?

I think the cheapest way to do Hawaii is a Waikiki hotel. There is lots of fast food there and the funnest things to do in Hawaii are free. There are deals all over the net, just start googleing. A bed and breakfast on the big island is cool, but not cheep. Renting a house would only be cheap if you are sharing it with lots of friends.

A lot of questions there. I would recommend a few things to get you started but first and foremost you need to figure out which island(s) you want to go to.I have been to Hawaii over 9 times in the last 10 years so I know how to save money big time and yes you can rent some houses on the cheap and save hotel fare. But the biggest expense is the plane ticket. Depending on where you live you might have some decent ways around this... For example, if you fly out of Vegas you can take a cheaper Hawaiian airlines flight from there versus taking maybe a more direct flight from your home state. Lastly, I would recommend that you work with an expert and I found a great service online that can help you sort out a lot of this kind of stuff. It costs a little money up front but the information you can get can be priceless. www.truealoha.com is the site. At least worth a look.

Have you checked into a condo for 10 days? My fiance and I are going in July, for our honeymoon, and we found condo's to be much more reasonable than hotels. I've heard everything is really expensive, so if you have your own kitchen, you'll be able to make some of your meals and save that way, too. Good luck!
