I prefer the Pacific Beach Hotel. I have stayed there four out of six times. It is not cheap, but it isn't the Hyatt either! It is a 3* hotel.You should check out the Ohana Hotels on Expedia.com You might get a good one.You could learn to surf from the Beach Boys, hike Diamond Head, go to the Arizona Memorial, tour the island by bus, eat at Dukes Canoe Club, or eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise, or for a less expensive place to eat, try Seaside Bar and Grill, that is on the corners of Seaside and Kuhio Ave on Oahu.Numerous attractions to see (including the above mentioned), go to Dole Plantation, Iolani Palace, go see Dog the Bounty Hunter at his office.No, it is not necessary to rent a car. You can get a four day Discovery thebus pass at any ABC store. It costs $20.00 for four consecutive days and you can get on and off any of the TheBus busses during those four days! It is a very good deal!You can get your sunscreen at any ABC store instead of bringing it with you. Clothing is like summer wear (whatever you wear during the summer (no black clothing), flip flops, tshirts, no formal wear (they wear relaxed clothing there).The Pacific Beach Hotel (Oceanarium Tower), has a buffet breakfast that is really good. You can eat there, and then not have to eat again until supper time!! It has a 280,000 gallon "fish tank" at this hotel. You can eat while watching the fish!! It is pretty cool!The rooms have either two double beds or a king size bed in the rooms.I hope this helps you!! |
