I'm looking at the AMEX Plat Card. I'd like to hear from current or previous owners as to your experience with the card.Things I'd like to know....=== Airport ===- Any trouble getting into Airport lounges?- Any additional fees in the Airport lounge not covered?- Can you get into any lounge, or only the one you have an airline ticket with?- How many people can you bring into the lounge?=== Car Rental ===- Are you automatically in all the top level clubs, or the entry level (ie. Hertz or Hertz Gold?)=== Other ===- Any way to get the card cheaper?- Any way to get companion cards FREE?---- What are the things they are NOT telling you?---- Come across any surprises (hidden fees, benefits not exactly as advertised?)Thanks!

I had no problem with airport lounges. Tips aren't covered. If you got far enough to get to the lounge then they won't check the ticket. You can bring anyone else that passes the security check points.Yes Hertz and all the rental companies you get the number 1 treatment.No way to get it cheaper and not sure of companion cards. Never got one. No hidden fees for me so shouldn't be any for you.
