 In general, what is the cheapest car rental company in North America?
Generally, I find Thrifty and Dollar Rent a Car to be the cheapest. Prices vary widely however depending on the city and day. The best way to get a rent a car for cheap is to bid on one at a sight like priceline, though sometimes you may get a car that requires you to take a shuttle away from the airport to pick it up. If you don't want to scan every company's site, use orbitz to give you a side by side comparison of prices, than go the company's website and rent it there, as it will be somewhat cheaper. Finally, some cities have a firm called Rent-a-Wreck, which rents ugly old cars, which is often but not always the cheapest if you just want a car. |
