Default I need to move my all of my belonging from cali to oklahoma. What is the best/cheapest method to move them?

I've considered using a freight service but it was more than 400$... I don't mind driving, but gas and the car rentals I looked at were also around 400$. I could ship everything through the mail, but wouldn't it get broken?I'm running out of time. I don't mind if I fly or drive (I won't have my own car to use). What is the cheapest, easiest and best option? Also, if there is a specific service "brand" that I should use that is known to be good? Many thanksI forgot to mention. The things I'd be shipping are my personal computer and lcd monitor, lots of books and dvds and my clothes. I'd like to bring some small furnature, but if I had to leave it behind, that is acceptable.

ship it thru usps, just pack your computer and breakables with your clothes, and you should not have any problem with breakage.

You can ship your clothes and books. If you can fit your computer in a carry-on size bag, bring it on the plane. Otherwise you can ship that too as long as it's packaged well (that's how it got to your retail store in the first place)."The UPS store" should be able to help you with packing your computer. Shipping will probably be cheaper than a one-way van rental, just be sure you ship everything but your computer at the slowest, cheapest level of service. You can also look into PODS. http://www.pods.com/ It's convenient but not super cheap.Consider carefully how much your books are worth to you. For sure, some of them are keepers, but you may want to thin out your collection. Books are heavy and can be costly to ship.
