Where is the cheapest car rental company in Puerto Rico? Long term rental is fine, but as suggested by some of the writers to your answers check their web sites and watch. Because, I recently rented from AAA car rental in Isla Verde, I used out ATM card which was in my husbands name. They had to charge the extra for another driver even though he does not have his license. Also they held back $100 until the return of the car. They said that they would return the money, when I took the car back, the confiscated $25 and I asked why which is my right and they just said that they had to take the money. Also they charged conssecion fees, and watch for hidden costs. If you can log on to Alberic Colon they have rentals, but watch because all rentals ask for you to have at least $300 to $500 base in the credit card for them to hold and watch that they return that money to you because some will confiscate up to $100 and don't explain why.Just watch for excess base in credit card, consession fees, extra driver fees, insurance which some will say one thing and come up with another and watch for the "we fill the tank, and you use what you have to and fill it when you return the car". With this gas thing, I was ripped off $60 because I wanted to buy it myself not the company to fill it for me and they said ok, then when car was returned they charged me and as much as if faught, they kept the money saying that they had the right to. This was Hertz. So check carefully. |
