How much car fuel cost should I budget when touring New Zealand for an approximately 14-hr drive?

I'm going to New Zealand and from Auckland, I'm going for a road trip to see the Waimoto Caves then head to Rotorua. From Rotorua, my next stop is Christchurch then I will go see the Fox Glacier the next day, then off to Queenstown which is my last stop. It's a 14-hr drive in total and I'm going to rent a car. How much gas allowance should I budget for this trip?
