Default Renting a car!!! How many seats? will give the first reasonable answer 10 points XD?

Assume it means 5 seats total. You'll need a car with at least six seats, which means you'll probably need a mini-van or some type of SUV. You can book online, but I'd suggest calling the company right before you book to ask if the type of car you're planning to rent is the right size - they all have 800 numbers. You don't have to book with them on the phone, just tell them you're still shopping around, thank them, and book for a cheaper rate online!

The number of seats listed in the number of seats in the car. The driver needs a seat as well as the passengers, so you need a car that seats 6.

You want to rent a full sized car - a full sized car will always be 4 doors and be plenty roomy or all your passengers. On the National car rental site, if you click on the size you want - it will show you what types of cars it is comparable to. That way you'll be able to compare them to cars you've seen driving around.

OK what you need is a car that seats 6 - at least. Take into account that if you guys are travelling any distance you will have luggage that goes with that. Also if you have any kids those carseats take up a lot of room. Also while there may be a seat there, there is often not really enough room for an adult in the middle. So each of the sites will have little icons that tell you how many seats and how much luggage it will hold. My suggestion is to get a small van of some sort and just be done with it. Most cars are not going to seat 6 people comfortably at all. So something with 3rd row seating is a must.Good luck!

5 seats means 5 people can sit in it, including the driver.if you're not sure, ring the branch, hertz have to be super polite, to the point of being annoying so will help you with anything you want to know.you'd be better off with a people carrier which has seats for 7 people, so you have a bit of room spare for luggage etc.hertz is also very expensive, so maybe try a more budget rental company. hertz are also SUPER expensive if you damage it in the slightest and the insurance is like £14 a day!!

In all honestly its easier to just call the place you want to rent from - they can make sure you will get the car you need... alot of time when renting online even if you pick a certain car - that may not be what you get when you get there to pick it up... I had rented a pontiac, but yet when I got there to pick it up all they had left was a chevy something - so we were stuck with thatit will be in your best interest to call the rental place tell them what you need - and then ask them to be sure and put a note in - that you need THAT exact car, so they dont give it away to someone that shows up an hr before you or something - and yes thats even with a reservation!!!all places have a 1-800 number - every time I have ever called to set one up - I was only on hold for maybe a min - and the people were always really nice ect - Good Luck!

Suggestion: Try checking out the cost of renting a mini van.

The listed number of seats will include the driver. If you have a 5 passenger car, the driver and one in the front, 3 in the back for a total of 5, and someone doesn't get a seat. You will need to get a 6 seat mini van to carry 5 passengers.
