Default computer is slow need some help?

Whenever I go to a website you know at the bottom of your computer screen it says "transfering data" or something along those lines with the website your trying to access for example www.yahoo.com. Well know my computer is saying www.yahoo.com and then something like www.igs.priceline.com followed by some website address that made no sense. whenever I go to different websites its the same thing but with different website addresses and stuff. Is this spyware or cookies? How do I get rid of it. I tried windows defender but it said I did not have anything. HELP!!!!

I know this is going to sound rude, but you went to great lengths to tell us what was happening, but you forgot to tell us what browser you're using. The most important thing! Most of the things written above should help, but it may not resolve the problem. IF (and I say IF because you didn't tell us). If you recently upgraded your browser, IE or Firefox, and IF you're running a firewall other than Windows Firewall, it's possible that the firewall thinks something has gone wrong and it may be blocking the browser. Do this anyway: Go to the firewall settings and set the browser(s) permissions to "ASK" or untick them. Do not make then crosses (or NO) just make the permissions "unknown". Now run the browser again, when the fireall asks for permission to connect to the web, click yes. Now the firewall will fully accept the browsers protocols which may have changed from the previous installation. I had exactly the same problem as you. Yahoo Answers was the worst, but any site with advertising that was taken from a third party site would play up. I finally resolved the problem by reloading Windows XP, a task that shouldn't be taken lightly. I wish you luck because this problem drove me insane and I consider myself very proficient when it comes to computers.Go easy with Hijack This. Read the warnings on the site and in the program. It can make your computer crash very easily. Get others to check your log files, don't assume things can be removed willy nilly.

The Internet is a hostile network like the wild west without a sheriff !So, You Think You've Got Spyware? Do you feel lucky? Do you? Maybe you feel so lucky that you don't even bother with antispyware, or you don't bother to keep it up to date. Or maybe you're using an antique freebie for protection. Sooner or later, the bad guys are going to find you, and you'll get that sinking feeling: Did I quarantine six Trojans, or only five? Rather than risk getting your system's head blown clean off, try getting some free help. It'll make your day!How to Remove Spyware From Your PCRid Yourself of RootkitsDetect and remove any spyware on your PC. In the unlikely event that you have picked up a brand-new specimen that isn't yet included in the antispyware databases, you'll have to do some cyber-investigating to find and eject the interloper.Read the articles in the links , you will get rid of your problem and might even find more stuff lurking in your system !
