My wife is 63.Her daughter is 42 and pregnant for the first time.Her daughter has very low platlet count (under 30k).Her daughter is at this moment in hospital with doctorsstruggling with decisions on treatment and whether totake baby with C-Section. Baby is strong, healthy, andseems to be doing fine but treatment for the mother couldbe more agressive if fetus consideration were removed.Her daughter lives in North Palm Beach and nearestairport is Fort Lauderdale, Florida. What provisions, if any, can airlines/travel servicesprovide for my wife in the situation should she have to gosouth at a moments notice. Her departure could be fromHartford, Ct. or Providence,Ri. Hello ...what you can do is book passage at regular fare rates for every 6 hours and change the reservations you do not need. Travel agents could do the same ...for a fee. The airlines will cooperate as much as possible. I wish you all the best. I would fly down right now and just be there. Does your wife have anything better to do?gl
