Ocean City, NJ is about 3-hours away from New York by car.May i suggest taking him to Cape May, NJ instead? It is very pretty, romantic, has a lighthouse and there are things to do year-round. Ocean City is quite far from NYC as the above person said. It's an odd choice for a vacation location this time of year to be honest. It is quite dead and not all that beautiful. For a vacation I'd also go to Cape May. Otherwise why not just go to NYC??? You could stay at a cheaper hotel and have lots to do. In Ocean City there is nothing to do now except for go across the bridge to Atlantic City and unless you like to gamble that's not too great. I'm afraid to say I'd rethink your whole plan! Good luck!
