Default trip around europe?

in the summer i am planning a trip to europe. i would be visiting munich for 4-5 days, salzburg in austria for 2 days, prague for 4 days, and paris for 5. i would be leaving from glasgow to munich first, and paris would be the last part of the trip, the order of prague and salzburg i am unsure of, whatever works out cheaper for travel i am wondering what the costs of this trip would roughly be?? i would be staying with family in munich and woud require hotels for 1 night in salzburg 3 nights prague and 4 nights in paris, a breakdown of average prices would be good. i would be in midrange hotels in each area. also how much would the travel cost?? and how much spending money would be needed assuming that i do not buy alot of unessential items?

You can do all sorts of research online. Just plug in the names of the cities, and you will find all sorts of rooms. If you are willing to take the risk on just walking into places, you can probably get the rooms for half what the online quotes are. (my experience was actually 1/3). You can even figure out about how much meals will cost, and you can go cheaper by going to grocery stores and buying deli food to carry around and picnic. Raileurope has a website, with which you can figure out your train travel, or you can find busses. If you dig deep enough, you can even figure out how much in-town travel will cost. I always figure another 20% or so for extra and inflation, just to be sure I have enough. (being from America, it's more like 50%, these days, with our sagging dollar). Do you still have the Interrail pass? Are you young enough to get one? I found this to be an extremely cost-effective way to travel...no extra travel costs. Have a great trip!
