i'm an au pair from South Africa, I life in DC, and want to go to a fun and exiting place for Christmas and new years? I'm 24 and travel alone!!! (I know, it sucks!!!) just 4 a week, to have some fun and relax... O'yes and keep it on the cheapish side, plzzzzz! thanx guys!

check your local paper and get one of the promos to Las Vegas. You can do it really cheap if you don't gamble and there is just everything to do. from great food to amazing shows. have fun!!

Find a travel agency in your town. Look for one in the phone book. They provide services free (they get paid by the hotels, etc that you use). These travel agents will help you find something and recommend places and keep you on the budget that you have. It is the best way to go!P.S. If it were me, I'd go south of DC for the relaxing country, rather than North of DC and the life style tends to get faster as you go north near NYC etc....
