I am from there and will be taking my fiance' home to meet my parents. They live far away on a farm in the Kalahari, it is dry and arid but incredibly beautiful. But I am afraid my Fiance' may not like it there in SA or on the farm, we will travel all over the place as well. So, if you have been there what was the experience like for you and what can I do to put her at ease and not let her feel too out of place, and to enjoy her trip. Relax, it is a beautiful country, and I enjoyed things there. She will love it. And by the way the Kalahari is really nice I was there, not many people go out that way, she will love the sunsets/sunrises, and incredible stars at night.

The crime rate is still very high. Have all the white women been raped yet? I guess if your rich you can be protected.

I have only heard of the high crime rate in the cities, but have heard the country side is very nice.
