I have always been to Disney World in February and March and it hasn't been nearly as packed with people as it has been when i went in the summertime.

The best time to visit changes from season to season. Stay away during the holidays for sure, unless you don't mind the crowds and long lines. My experience shows that Labor Day weekend and the first couple weeks in December is a great time.

after new years day it dies down because everyone goes back to school. january is a great month to go because its most likely not crowded and warmer than where you are from. however that holiday weekend in january does get busy.feburary is a great month to go as well.march-if easter is in april come in march.april-if easter is in march come in april (see the switch)may-it starts to get warm again, so early may is good, but once memorial day hits its busy until septemberjune, july, august-BUSY BUSY BUSY and rain rain rain and hurricanes (sometimes)september after labor day NO ONE great time to come if you have kids and they start school late.october-it gets busy because everyone from europe is on holiday and they all come to disneyworld.november-first 3 weeks great time to come its holiday decoration time, and its still not packed for it being the holiday season, but thanksgiving time packed.december-first 2 weeks are ok but not packed but not empty. great time to come if you want to see it in the holiday mode. the last 2 weeks avoid it, everyone is here.

We love going anywhere between the 2nd week of January and 2nd week of February. That way you avoid the stragglers from the Holiday crowds and the President's week crowds in February.

It depends on your definition of "best"If you are looking to avoid crowds September, January & February are the best.If you are looking to avoid heat December, January & February are the best.Christmastime is busy...but it is definitely a magical time to be in the park.Fall/Halloween time is also great. It is not as busy as the winter holidays and the temperature has dropped a little. They decorate and have special characters and be sure to check out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's an easy way to get into the Magic Kingdom for $40 instead of $70 (something they don't tell you...the party starts at 7 pm, but the ticket lets you in the park at 4pm!)Summer is the absolute worst time to come. Unbearable heat and unrelenting crowds, can turn a vacation into a nightmare. The restaurants will be crowded, lines will be incredibly long and you'll find yourself complaining more than you are enjoying.April is also a pretty bad time because of Spring Break...it lets up slightly in May, but pretty much it is not good April - August!!Another tip, avoid the weekends if you can (particularly in the summer). Florida residents flock to the park and it gets much busier. If you are planning a vacation, plan you park days as weekdays and hit up Downtown Disney, the waterpark, putt putt golf, or the hotel pool on Saturday!

The week after Labor Day. There are still people but there are no lines whatsoever on any rides. However, the downside of it is that there might be rides that are shut down during that period of time for refurbishment. If you go right the first week after labor day, it's great.Other than that, Disney has never had slow days really.
