Default Cedar point or Islands of Adventure?

I am a big coaster fan and am planning a holiday in the US want to know if people who have been to both rate cedar point or islands of adventure the best, or indeed anywhere else. The best in the UK is without doubt alton towers

Cedar Point FOR SURE!with 17 coasters and over 69 rides and attractions, it is a super fun time! when you go, you should most deffenetly go on Dragster, Millenium, and Maverick. those are amazing. all the coasters are great (except mean streak which is rather rough) and some of the thrill rides are good 2 (maxx air, skyhawk esp.) it is kind of pricy but it is worth it!

if you want the largest number, most intense roller coasters, then Cedar Point. several of their coaster were/are record holders. i think they were beat out but not by much. but as far as theme, its more like a carnival.Islands of Adventure has a better "theme" but only has three coasters. now they are cool and there are other cool rides, the park is small. if you are not interested in kiddie rides, then you can complete the park in one day. and that includes riding a couple of things twice.
