well, I wont be bothering as I shall cook christmas dinner at work for 30 residents, and honestly cant face cooking another one when I return home, so pot noodle sounds good, washed down with a bottle of red wine,, and I am being honest !

honestly i HATE disney world because of the fact that everything costs about 10 times the amount that the actual value is. Depending on how close you live to Disney world i would fly home and make your own food. I recomend making some kind of roasted chicken dish. You can look online if you prefer somthing different and you can find a recipie for chicken. There a millions of recipiece online. I would look for that first before spending that much money at disney world.

we'll eat at my mom's for Christmas Eve dinner, but Christmas Day we'll meet my brother at Cracker Barrel. he'll have pancakes and my kids will have burgers and fries. my mom and I will have turkey and all the fixin's.

Boring answer i'm afraid...the missus (we're not married) will be at her folks, i'll be at my mum's with my younger bro and sister (dad died 3 years ago).If you are not a 'family unit' it's really difficult to juggle things at christmas...i really don't like all the B.S anymore. I might follow your lead and stay on my tod and have a pot noodle like you. Although it would have to be beef and tomato or chicken curry flavour....not too keen on chicken and mushroom.Anyway....happy christmas big boy. Have a splendid time whatever you end up doing!

I don;t think its bizarre but we have so much family and not enough room in any house so we go from house to house to eat one dish, have drinks, have dessert and then to Grandma's house for all the presents. Grandma's house is the biggest and she could have dinner set for everyone but this makes its more fun, you can socialize without hurting anyones feelings and the kids have fun because they think they don't get any presents. You should see the memories of those faces that make each Christmas special. Every other year we do a family exchange but the kids get coal until they get home to find that Santa had come for a visit while they were being good.

We have Christmas morning at home with our boys. after they open all their gifts we make sandwiches and eat them during the two hour drive to the grandparents. Sometimes we even drive in our Christmas jammies! :-)When we arrive there she usually has a pot of soup and then we all open presents together with all my husbands family.So most Christmases - it's a cold sandwich in a car.

Looking for the most bizarre wins???? Sorry I can't help you out this year, but here's what I'm doing:Cooking a fabulous ham with my own barbecue sauce, making asiago potato custard, fresh green beans with mushrooms, onion and bacon, hot rolls with honey and butter, and my own Christmas Pie. We'll be drinking some great champagne, pinot grigio, and sparkling cider,then finish with a nice cup of coffee with cream. Goes well with that last piece of homemade fudge!Sorry your family left without you, but enjoy your solitude and create your own memories!
