Default The 2008 DDP does not incl Gratuity. Still the same bargain? Also, looking for review of Beach Club Resort.?

Yes, I read all the reviews and raves about the 2007 dining plan, but my question is since 2008 DDP does not include gratuity anymore, will the savings exceed the $800 extra it would cost to buy a package to get the DDP over the course of a 7 day/6 night vacation for a family of 3 (2 adults + 8 year old) versus buying room and tickets separately at AAA rate and paying for food as you go? How about the Park Hopper, any recommendations? How many times does one really hop parks versus just a 6 day ticket. We are looking to stay in the Beach Club Resort, and with the added cost of the room in a Deluxe resort, adding these extras to the tickets start to add up. We looked at the Moderate resorts, but really liked the Beach Club with all there was to do around the resort (proximity to Boardwalk and the pool at this resort)? Any experiences would be appreciated. We are looking to visit next year, and my wife and I have not been to Disney since our honeymoon 11 years ago.

Yes you will still save tons of money on the DDP. Park hopper is great, you just have to plan ahead. We usually went to a park in the morning then came back to hotel then went out to a diffrent park for the evening. We really liked the Beach Club. It had a great atmosphere, great location, and an AWESOME POOL ! SAND BOTTOM!!!. The only issue we had was the room, it was a great location( right by the shop) but it looked worn down. Also out side out room was construction, but it went away in 2 days. If you do say at the beach club, upgrade to concierge, its worth the expence. Also, it has a limited ammount of food places, but you can go anywhere to eat, so dont let that stop youi was there in augustquestions?millburnkid1234@yahoo.com

My family loves the Beach and Yacht Club. Its pool is fantastic with a sandy bottom and a great water slide. Being within walking distance of Epcot is a big plus too along with being able to enjoy the fireworks from the lagoon. The rooms are nice and the Concierge lounge is friendly and full of good food and all the beer you could drink. The staff on the Concierge level is fantastic. They were so helpful and always smiling. It's a great resort.
