Grand Bahama Island is wonderful if you want to relax and do a lot of water activities. Stay at any hotel in "Our Lucaya" but my favorite is Pelican Bay.Of course, Atlantis on Paradise Island (Nassau) is great for kids. Be prepared to spend big bucks there.Have you considered a cruise? Try the Disney cruises.

I have gone to quite a few islands and really none of them have much for kids but I personally liked Port Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island better then Nassua. I actually have found the Virgin Islands to be even better

We went to the Breezes resort in Nassau last June. It was wonderful. It appears to be a little expensive but it included all your food and drinks. The pool was very nice and had a swim up bar. The beach was also very nice and clean. We rented wave runners one day and that was a blast. It was so much fun going to the different islands. http://www.breezes.com/Make sure you carry plenty of one dollar bills when you go. I didn't carry many and everybody wants tips so they go quick. There is also an open air market across from the port. I can't remember the name but you should visit it. The locals are flexible on their prices too. Act interested in something and leave when they tell you the price. They will come down instantly.

To me if it's in the budget I would go on vacation with my son to Atlantis on Paradise Island, Bahamas. It's such a great place for children and adults. Many different categories to choose from. The beach is awesome. Marine life, dolphins, lazy river .Everything is right there for you and your family. They even have a kids night club for 3-12 year olds. Club Rush. Check out the sitehttp://www.atlantis.comI would travel in the off season. May, June, July. August is to hot. Good luck and have a great vacation)
