Default Is this a stressful teenage life . . . ?

First of all, my school life consists of 9 to 11 weeks per term, and between every term is a break ranging from 1 to 7 weeks. The first few weeks of every term I am very organized and get things done quite well. However, over the weeks I fall behind, and I’m constantly doing catch-up work and at the same time, homework and assignments (some of which I can’t get finished or handed in with high quality, which makes me upset).Towards the end of the term I’ll be finished with the assignments, but I will still have catch-up work, homework, PLUS exam review. After the exams finish and school is over, I am immediately taken on vacation overseas (which I hate) for at least half the holiday. When I come back I have to study Japanese for the rest of the break. Then school starts again and the same thing is repeated. For the SEMESTER exams – when they finish I have another week of school before the holidays, and I use that time packing for going back to Japan for the summer or winter. The very next day after school finishes, I go to Japan and stay for 4 to 6 weeks depending on the length of holiday. When I come back, I have a few days to a week till school starts again.Aside from this, I have SAT tests, TOEFL tests, and a Japanese Proficiency test every year. I also usually get a serious injury or contract a serious illness that I get hospitalized at least twice a year, making me fall behind in schoolwork and pressuring me physically. Does this sound like a stressful life to you?I go to Japan to attend summer school, not for vacation.

Sure, you have a lot of stress. That's part of being a young adult or teenager. You are not the most stressed out teen I've seen, believe me!!!

Yes.Tip: Relax a little, tell your parents that since you hate the idea of going on a vacation overseas and just want to stay in enjoy the precious time you have that isn't spent studying.

No, i don't believe stress just comes academically. If u have wrote, during school hours, i have to deal with my biased teachers and inconsiderate friends who make fun of me and when i go home my parents doesn't care OR keeps making me do school work and does not talk to me, then i would have said yes.

Take it from an old man darlin', you'll look back on this in 20 years and **wish** you had it so easy.In college I put in 15 credits per term (normal is 9-12,) worked three jobs, and helped raise a daughter. These days, I wish I had it that good again.Keep your eyes open, you're riding the biggest waves of your life right now, don't miss a single thing.

Sounds like your parents have high expectations for your life. It may be stressful, but just remember that you have alot of advantages that many people in the world would die for. You get to go to a good school and travel abroad. Sounds like you have much in your life that you are ungrateful for.You may try helping somebody else who is in a hard situation. It will get your mind off yourself and you will see a bigger picture.

sure, the stress of summer school is obviously making you go overboard! if you have a time management plan of the work you can do on certain nights and stick to it, the stress of exams and things will seem a lot lighter on you. my advice to you would be to talk to your parents(or the people who send you to summer school) and tell them it isn't giving you time to achieve your potential in school and revise properly for your exams...hope this helps....
