Is this a stressful teenage life . . . ? First of all, my school life consists of 9 to 11 weeks per term, and between every term is a break ranging from 1 to 7 weeks. The first few weeks of every term I am very organized and get things done quite well. However, over the weeks I fall behind, and I’m constantly doing catch-up work and at the same time, homework and assignments (some of which I can’t get finished or handed in with high quality, which makes me upset).Towards the end of the term I’ll be finished with the assignments, but I will still have catch-up work, homework, PLUS exam review. After the exams finish and school is over, I am immediately taken on vacation overseas (which I hate) for at least half the holiday. When I come back I have to study Japanese for the rest of the break. Then school starts again and the same thing is repeated. For the SEMESTER exams – when they finish I have another week of school before the holidays, and I use that time packing for going back to Japan for the summer or winter. The very next day after school finishes, I go to Japan and stay for 4 to 6 weeks depending on the length of holiday. When I come back, I have a few days to a week till school starts again.Aside from this, I have SAT tests, TOEFL tests, and a Japanese Proficiency test every year. I also usually get a serious injury or contract a serious illness that I get hospitalized at least twice a year, making me fall behind in schoolwork and pressuring me physically. Does this sound like a stressful life to you?I go to Japan to attend summer school, not for vacation. |
