Yes, they can. Yes, I have had this happen. On travel days I wear a plastic alternative "wire" which eliminates the problem. Or I wear a good support one that has no wires at all. Not so good if you are blessed with good sized ones...Victoria's Secret sells them that aren't too bad. I'm sure there will be other brands if you look...

No, the metal detector is not that sensitive. It will not set the alarm off.

I have been through those things a million times and have never had a problem. I normally wear ipex bras from Victoria's Secret and have never had a problem.Hope all goes well.

Yep, in Boston Logan airport. I had to step to the side and be hand searched.
