How early do flights usually board?

My roomie and i have the same flight and it leaves @ 630 am and she was thinking about going to the airport around 520am. I think that might be a lil to late. Is it too late to go and check in bags and go through security?

I think that is too late, to most likely will have a line to check your bags. Then a line to get through security, then get to your gate. They usually board the plane about 20-25 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Better to be safe and leave a little earlier. Especially this time of year no telling how long the lines will be.

5:20am is pushing it (IMO) but its possible (depending on what date you guys are flying)I think its better to arrive at 5am for domestic and 4-4:30am for international. Its the holidays and many people will fly to see their relatives and family and there might be long lines at the check in couter and at security. I think flights are usually open for boarding about 30 mins before its supposed to depart (so i'm guessing you guys can board your flight at 6am)

most airlines have cutoff 45 minutes before departure anymore. If you are checked in online already, I think you will be fine (as long as you can get up at that ungodly hour, more power to you)...you might want to spring a couple bucks and check your bags outside with skycap, though. Don't forget to tip them!

It MIGHT be OK that early in the morning (unless it's the day before Christmas, which is jammed). I would recommend at least another half hour; better to be early than stressed.Be sure to check in and get your boarding passes online the night before.Most flights start boarding 45 minutes before departure.

i believe all airlines start their business at 7:15am...since your flight is 6:30, so you have to be at the airport around 4:30...now you know how hard is it to be F/A... right?
