They won't let me take my lighter...can I at least take matches through airport security?

Before you tell me to check TSA's website....I have already. I don't see anything about matches on there. Can I bring them? And if not, how on Earth am I supposed to have a smoke inbetween flights?!They confiscated my lighter last time I flew...when you are nicotine junkie...it is a disaster! *And spare me the smoking lectures...I know already.

Yes - Matches are OK - just make sure they can see everything

Cant smoke in the airportCant go outside to smoke once you go through securityNo need for matches or a lighter.

No you can't take matches. I wouldn't suggest packing them either. One time there was a bag that a passenger put several books of matches in the outside pocket. As the bag went through the bag belt system at the airport the matches rubbed together and by the time it got to the room where they load the bags it was on fire!! I would just buy a lighter when you get there.
