Help. Jealousy. Vacations.? Perhaps if you play down mentioning the vacations when you are with your friends - don't draw their attention to it or boast about it at all. If they are the ones who bring it up, then just do what others here have suggested, say yes, you are fortunate. If they say you are spoiled just laugh. If you can think of something they do or have - that you don't have, you could perhaps draw their attention to what is fortunate in their lives. Otherwise just try and be humble about how lucky you are. It is only natural for peers to express their jealousy. When you are older, true friends will be happy for you in your good fortunate - but that's a bit much to expect from your average peer in your early teens |
