Default Is it SAFE to road trip ?

Tony is the most correct. But everyone who said to be aware of surroundings, right, too.As a young woman, I travelled across country for work full time for 6 months, and have driven across country to visit family many times. All completely alone. Never a problem I couldn´t handle.Good things to keep in mind: at motels, be especially aware of who might be listening as you check in, lock doors, use safety locks/deadbolts, and, if you really want to be safe, get one of those extra security siren things that can be bought on those 800 numbers, or out of catalogs. Don´t sleep in your car. You´re just asking for trouble. I wouldn´t suggest camping, either, just too insecure.I wouldn´t suggest doing that kind of trip alone. I tried to do a day trip alone in Spain this summer, and never even got out of bed that morning. It´s just too unfamiliar. Really, once you´re on the interstates, you´re pretty ok, but it´s that chance of getting lost that scared me.And don´t be two teenagers getting undressed, ready for sex, because in the movies, they´re ALWAYS the first to get it.

I would say that it definitely isn't if you are a female traveling alone.

With modern law infocemant agency response time and cellphones, it is safer then back 100 years ago.

I don't think there are any "safe" places in the world. Accidents do happen, especially on the road. Just be careful, alert, and pray you don't get sawed up. Just kidding.
