Disney, Costa and the luxury lines.Carnival, NCL and Royal Caribbean are the three star lines. They offer a good cruise experience for a low cost. These lines are family friendly and attract a younger active group of passengers.Princess, HAL and Celebrity are the four star (premium) lines. All have children's programs but there are less families on these lines. They cost a little more than the three star lines and attract an older more passive group of passengers.Disney is expensive (more so than the four star lines) and very family friendly. Costa is a three star line that only sails in the Caribbean during the late fall, winter and early spring. Costa is an Italian line, so it offers a more European experience. The luxury lines (Silversea, Crystal, Regent ...) are the five star lines. They are expensive and only offer a limited number of Caribbean cruises. These lines will accept children, but are not family friendly. Besides being wealthy, the passengers on these lines tend to be older and prefer to entertain themselves. |
