Good Ol' Carnival I had this happen to me a while back I thought that I would share my fun experience. My Wife and I departed Fort Lauderdale on the cruise ship Legend. The first day my wife and I got sick from the afternoon meal and we had cramps and developed diarrhea and went to the infirmsry and were told it closed at 6 pm. We went to the purser's desk where they gave us some seasick pills and I tried to tell the foreign-speaking agent we were not seasick, but all she could say was take two pills every 6 hours.
After taking 9 previous cruises I brought a large bottle of Pepto Bismol and for three days we had a hard time. I called Carnival and complained and to no avail, all they wanted to do was offer us a 10 percent discount on our next cruise. On ship at the end of voyage we were told that the crew knew the virus was on board when we boarded the ship in Fort Lauderdale.
Damage Resulting: Spent $1,800 for cruise and my wife had to take an extra week off from her government job. |
