Has anyone ever worked on a cruise line? I have a strange but serious question for you.? The cruise lines have increased security on the ships over the past few years, but generally their job is more as bouncers than armed conflict. They have a few small arms stored and locked away for security, but are not generally required. When the ships are in port (at dock) the country where the ship is docked generally provides security. If you have been on a Caribbean cruise lately you will note servicemen with rifles on the docking areas.Due to the size it is rare for a large cruise ship to be confonted with problems while at sea. And all cruise lines check for weapons when boarding passengers so the risk of hijacking is greatly reduced. |
