Cruise line? I've always gone on Carnival but then someone recently said that Royal Carribean is more fun. what do you think?

I prefer schooner cruises -- Maine windjammers. When I go on a cruise, I want to feel like I'm on a boat, not on a giant hotel floating on the ocean.

We prefer Carnival over RC. We had our worst cruise experience on an RC and have not given them another chance... However RC is upgrading ships with more on-board activities. We cruise Carnival at least once a year and even our teen and tween love Carnival. They say RC is too stuffy.

Royal Carib or princess are better than Carnival

Both are inferior to Princess or NCL. I was just on Carnival Freedom (brand new) then the Crown Princess. There was not 1 thing that Carnival did that Princess didn't do far better. Just remember with any cruise than new ships are a lot better than old ships. If its more than 5 years old, forget it. Have fun!

I have been on four cruise lines, including Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. However, all three offer a quality cruise cruise experience. I have future cruises booked on all three.
