Princess cruise line or nursing home - which is cheaper or more benifical 2 u? Aboard a Princess liner, I noticed the ships officers, waiters, etc. seemed vry familiar with an elderly lady. They knew nothing but she'd been on board for the last four 'back 2 back' cruises. The elderly lady said, "It's cheaper than a nursing home". ?? Average cost for a nursing home- $200 per day. Checked w/reservations on Princess & can get a long term discount & senior discount price- $135/day.That leaves $65 a day: 1) U get 10 meals a day if U can waddle to the restaurant, or room service (breakfast-in-bed every day of the week). 2) 3 swimming pools, a workout room, free washers /dryers, & shows every night. 3)Free toothpaste razors, free soap & shampoo. 4) They will even treat u like a customer, not a patient. 5) Meet new people every 7 / 14 days. 6) TV broken or need a mattress replaced? No problem. 7) Clean sheets /towels every day w/o begging for them. 8) In a nursing home u break a hip ur on Medicare; break it on a Princess liner & they upgrade u for life. hmm?? |
