You have to book over the phone to get the military rate, but many times they are higher than what you will get on Orbitz. Do your shopping around for the cheapest rate in the normal way, then call the airline and see if they can do better. Good luck, and Semper Fidelis!

you can check this site and if you find a price you like there is a help tab with the phone numbers of the people you would want to ask. http://www.ytbtravel.com/getthereandrelax

Yes Delta gives Military discounts as does US Airways, Southwest, Northwest and United and I think that most if not all US based airlines do. Delta has been giving military discounts at least since 1972 when I was in the army.

I suggest you simply call every airline that flies into your airport (call the airport to find that out) and ask them. It will take a few minutes, but you will get 100% ccorrect answers. Perhaps he should check at his base office ... they may know. I don't know if they still do it or not, but 42 years ago I caught a 'flip' ride ... that's when a military plane is making a routine flight somewhere at or close to your destination ... and got there quicker and for free. He could check that out. Just FYI, my girlfriend and I got married the next year and have been so for over 40 years. Have a very Merry Christmas!!
