Getting my money back from Northwest Airlines, March of 2006 I purchased a ticket from a travel agency to travel from Tampa Fl and arrive in Kiev Ukraine, The flight was leaving May 16,2006 and returning June 30, Two day's before departure my Dr told me that I could not leave due to health issues and wrote me a note which I faxed to the travel agency because they told me if I do that to rebook a flight would cost me an extra $100 dollars and the difference in the fair at the time, I told them to hold my ticket, And they told me if I wanted to cancell it would be a $200 penilty, I'm still unable to travel so I called the travel agent for a refund, And now they said no refund and I would loss the money if I did't travel by March, And if I did travel I would have to pay an extra $500 dollars, If you know the answer please help me.

Good luck. I would think that unless you had travel insurance, you will not get your money back. I hope your health is ok, take care of yourself!
