Default Question about flying Northwest Airlines with an Infant?

I was wondering if anyone else has flown Northwest with a little one & how strict they are on their stroller carry-on policy. According to their website, umbrella strollers are the only stroller they allow to be stowed when boarding the flight. Has anyone been able to use a regular sized stroller with them? Or is this something that we could get turned anyway for & have to leave our stroller at the airport? I am really hoping to be able to take our regular stroller because of our long layovers, so any help or advice is appreciated!I agree it is to big to stow with my carry on, just wondering though if they will check it at the gate for me? I can check it with my luggage, but then won't be able to use it until we get to our final destination 12 hours & 2 layovers later. My little girl just gets so restless in umbrella strollers, so hopefully it will work out.

You might not be able to stow the regular stroller on board but I am almost certain that you can curb side check the stroller!!!! I see them all the time in airports.

I would not think that it would be a problem I have seen regular strollers when were last at the Airport ( April of this year) I would think that they would just gate check it and have it waiting when you get off the plane. It is not like it is a Jogging stroller. I would try to not have more than the diaper bag & purse for a carry on. It may help your cause.Good luck. and have fun on your trip.

you won't be able to stow a regular stroller cuz, hey it won't fit But they will check it for you at the gate, as you are actually getting on the plane you leave it at the gate and they will put it below and bring it back out the second you land so it will meet you at the gate at your arrival. They're do this for carseats too. Defenitely recommend it, makes life soooo much easier.
