buddy pass? On a buddy pass, you must pay the taxes when you get your boarding confirmation at the airport. Buddy passes are not the best way to go during peak holiday travel; you're assigned the lowest priority to board a flight, not the Southwest boarding groups but the actual allowance to take a flight. You might have to wait an entire day or even more before there is a plane going where you want to go with an available seat. So bring your patience and also be willing to travel to alternate airports-- for example if you are trying to get to the DC area, you might prefer to fly into Dulles but all the Dulles-bound planes are full, so you might have to fly into Baltimore instead or wait till the next day to get to Dulles. Passengers who are "bumped" from other flights will have priority over you so be prepared to spend some time waiting in the airport, or fly on Thanksgiving itself when less people are travelling. |
