Engines are usually maintained by the manufacturer. They arrive in containers ready to be installed on the AC, and are shipped back to the manufacturer for rebuilds.

Neither has any unusual problems with engine stalls or any other safety issue. They fly the same planes with the same engines as most other airlines. There have been no recent reports in the aviation media of unusual engine problems. In fact, Southwest has one of the best safety records of any airline. There are reasons to avoid US Airways, such as lousy customer service, but safety is not one of them.

all PLANES stall but in flying commercial it will never happen. they will never have a nose high attitude like that. Planes stalls because there is no air along the wing. From NY may i recommend flying jetblue. Southwest is good too. No comment on UsAirways
