Default Jetblue vs Southwest vs Skybus... Which Airline is the better value to fly on in both quality and price?

From what I can tell while they are all low cost airline they all have their bad sads and good side.Jetblue. Offer DirecTV on its aircraft and Personal TVs for all (14 channels). 100 channels of XM Radio, free head phones, leather seat, nice flight attendants, and free snack and beverage, large amount of leg room for eco class, and wide seats.Southwest. Fabric Seats, slightly narrower and leg room than Jetblue. Free peanut, but no drinks. No enterainment, but flight attendants are entertainment enough, though not on a long flight. Bring a Portable DVD player. Offer cheaper air ticket prices than JEtblue although does fly to secondry airportsSkybus. No food or drink at all, must purchase it on plane and cannot bring outside food in. No entertainment at all, need DVD player. $5 per checked bad (max2). FLy 2 airports of destinations 50 miles away. expensive shuttle fee. and less leg room than SW. Although if you can get 1 of the lower fare than total cost is less than Southwest

i book with southwest at least once a week. Sometimes they have really good specials and they are pretty cheap. They do give you drinks like orange juice and soda but you have to pay for alcoholic drinks. I really like them for short flights because of their prices.

Well, you get what you paid for.Southwest give you non-alcholic beverage (coke, 7Up, water, coffee, etc) Southwest and JetBlue fly to major airport and secondary Airport (at least on the West Coast)ex.: Southwest is in LAX, SFO, SAN, LAS, ONT, OAK, BUR JetBlue is in LGB, ONT, BUR, LAS, OAKSouthwest fly from West Coast (LAX) to Islip, Long Islandf(NY), but Jet Blue Fly from Long Beach (L.A.) to JFK.another ex.: Southwest non-stop from LAX to Chicago MDWJet Blue non-stop from Long Beach to Chicago ORDall these are give and take.SkyBus is trying to do what Ryanair is doing in Europe. We have to wait and see if it will work in the US.

Pretty much what you have said is true. JetBlue is the nicest of the airlines you mentioned. Keep in mind that flying out of a secondary airport might not save you money in the long run if you have to travel out of your way to get there - for example, if you're flying to Boston, Southwest and Skybus only fly into airports that are an hour away so it might cost you more to get from the airport to Boston then you're saving in lower airfare. JetBlue unfortunately seems to be the most expensive - actually often more expensive than American or USAirways.

actually I will make some corrections to your listjet blue: 36 channels of direct TV, and they have one classsouthwest: they serve drinks on all flightsi would go with jet blue, better entertainment, newer planes, and they always have awesome dealsP.S. Mike R one of the answerers is wrong Jet Blue does fly to Boston-Logan, but skybus and southwest fly only to airports in New Hampshire about an hour drive away
