internet on an airplane? There's currently no internet on most airplanes. They've just started a pilot program with a few airlines to provide wireless. If you happened to be on one of those flights, which are mostly international from my understanding, you wouldn't need a wireless card, because you have to turn that off. You would plug your laptop into a port.Jet Blue is offering it on limited flights. This is from just the other day. Quantas was offering it on international flights starting a few weeks ago, but other airlines aren't picking up until next year.http://www.statesman.com/business/content/business/stories/other/12/11/1211jetblue.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=3http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2007-12-14-in-flight-web_N.htm?csp=34So, you'll probably just be able to get an internet connection in the terminal. |
