Missed US Airways flight. Can I rebook? Call the airline but this late in the game, you are probably out of luck. If you miss your flight, it's your responsibility to contact the airline and make alternate arrangements. Because you have not spoken with them already, there's a good chance they will say too much time has gone by to be able to use the unused portion of the fare. It's worth asking--- and ask the airline directly, not Expedia--- but don't count on it. Also before you call, how much was the ticket? If it was less than about $250, it's probably not even worth trying. If they do allow you to rebook, they will deduct $100 from the unflown value of the ticket. Often a round-trip ticket is priced a little strange, with the outbound flight being about 60% of the full fare. So you have to have more than $100 unflown value to make it even worth calling. And I can promise you they will without a doubt hit you with the $100 charge, if they decide to be nice and let you rebook. So if it was only a $175 fare to begin with, it's not worth even calling. |
