Actually, it isn't considered a "hub" anymore. They now term it a "focus city" as they have pulled a huge percentage of their flights from Pittsburgh. While they still fly to & from Pittsburgh, there are less flights available. More focus is on the East coast and stop cities like Charlotte, Philadelphia, & New York.

US Airways has hubs and what are called Focus Cities. Pittsburgh used to be a US Airways hub but then they started scaling back on a bit flights so it is now a Focus City instead of a hub. The airline still operates the most number of flights out of that airport but uses more regional jets than large aircraft.

Techinially No. It is a Hub for US Airways Express so its really only a hub for close flight otherwise your going to have to stop in PHL.

No its not. Its a "focus city" now. The hub in Pennsylvania is in Philly.

they downgraded it they dont consider it a hub anymore because they basically lost all of its service there is no one that is flying with them so they dont fly many flight anymore out of there.
