US Airways, good service? Something that might be helpful to you is checking out Skytrax -- they're the reigning body on ranking and rating airlines (U.S. Airways gets three stars out of five), and they have tons of reviews from passengers who've flown whichever airline you're researching. I use them all the time when I can't decide which carrier to fly. Here's the link to their U.S. Airway section; perhaps it'll help you to make your mind up: http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/us_air.htmAnd here's Skytrax's main page: http://www.airlinequality.com/index.htmHave to say, I've never been overly impressed with U.S. Airways, but then I've never been horribly upset by it either. Truth be told, I've not actually been overly impressed with ANY American carrier in the last few years, apart from Alaska Airlines, who really do seem to be holding onto the last shreds of decent customer service in a way that other airlines just aren't. Bottom line: U.S. Airways is decent and well-known and they'll get you there in one piece. And if the price is right, I don't see any problem with not booking them. These days, you're pretty much just paying to get from A to B on U.S. domestic carriers. Have a good flight, whatever you decide!--Holly |
