Default What would be the best way to fly from BUR or LAX to Brussels,Belgium?

I'm planning a trip to Belguim in April. I was thinking of flying JETBlue from Burbank,CA to JFK. In JFK I would switch to an American Airlines flight nonstop to Belguim. The flight from JFK to Brussels is 7 hours on a Boeing 767. Another option would be to fly to Philadelphia on either Southwest or US Airways and take a non-stop flight from Philadelphia to Brussles. My third option is to fly from LAX non-stop to London Heathrow and take the train to Belguim. I would fly American Airlines from LAX to LHR.I'm not crazy about Northwest/KLM airlines. Why is it better to connect in Europe as to the United States?I would prefer to fly on American Airlines because I'm a frequent flyer.

If Money is a concern I would take the cheapest route keeping in mind thatIf Youre planning on using two seperate airlines and buying two seperate tickets remember to calculate plenty of time just in case of any delays. The quickest route would be flying from LAX to amsterdam to belgium on Klm airlinesbut since there are not direct flights from California to Belgium you will have to connext somewhere.I rather connext in a European airport than US.keeping that in mind your options would be withBritish airways via londonAir France via ParisLufthansa via FrankfurtSwiss airlines via Zurichfor conexting in the USADelta,Continental,American,US airways all offer service from their hubs to belgium. My suggestion is to book all travel under one ticket vs buying seperate tickets unless youre saving moneyhope that helpshappy travels

Checking the connections between LAX and BRU, KLM/Northwest actually do have the shortest duration of all airlines (12h, 50m there; 13h, 30m back). KLM is a good airline for international travel--good service, comfortable flight, great airport at AMS.When connecting yourself with 2 airlines and 2 tickets, you run the risk of Airline A getting you there too late, and Airline B saying "too bad--you should have booked it all together, then we would have to accomodate you." Weather, crew delays, aircraft problems, etc. etc. can unexpectedly cause flights to be delayed.
