Default What is your favorite Airline? and Why?

I have had several sour experiences with United, I swore after the 100th that I would never fly with them again, then recently when I purchased a ticket for US Airways, it was flown by United for some damn reason so even after paying extra to avoid United, I got stuck with United what the hell??? So, if I had to choose one within the US, I would go with Frontier, I have flown with them a few times and they seem to have the cleanest planes, nicest and most presentable staff, and overall good flight. My all time favorite however, would be JAL (Japan Airlines), by far have been my most pleasant flights. Gorgeous staff, polite as can be, each seat has had its own screen (that actually worked I might add), extremely clean, good food, and the list of kudos goes on. Cant wait to go back to Japan just so I can fly with them again.

I usually fly American Airlines and am very happy with their service. My experience has been that the flights are on time, the attendants are usually friendly, and I actually have a seat when I show up.I have not had any major problems on US Airways but the planes are tiny and uncomfortable, and the overhead compartments are too small for my carry-on so I end up with it under my feet the whole flight. But they usually give you two packets of pretzles ... a whole 16 mini-pretzles instead of the 8 you get on American. I had a terrible flight on Delta not too long ago, which was accented by landing in Cincinnati only to be told, "I've been waiting for you... we don't have a seat for you." It had been booked 2 months in advance, but they overbook so much that a lot of people get bumped. I was told that the next flight was 9 hours later. GRRRR!!!!! They managed to find several people to take cash in exchange for letting some of us who really wanted to get home take their places. I travel for business. I want to know that when I head home there will be a seat for me on the plane. Delta is way low on my list of favorite airlines now, as I'm told that is standard operating procedure for them. With AA I can check in online up to 24 hours in advance guaranteeing a seat.

for domestic i fly AA i'm not after the service, as long as they can fly me from point A to point B thats what matters, so far i have'nt encountered any nightmares yet lol. But for international flights, its a different story. try asian carriers, good food, and great inflight entertainment.

I love Virgin Atlantic and British Airways, both are definitely world class in service and comfort. Traveling in the off-season usually means a huge discount in fare from the peak season rates. Plus, once you set foot on the plane, you already feel like you're in London with the flight attendants and all.

I have only flown one airline, that was was Airtran Airways. I love that airline. Their flight-attendants are amazing.
