Mr. Bush, FYI, has NOTHING to do with setting oil prices. It is OPEC!

Bush hasn't doubled the price of gas and heating oil. IF there is any blame to that, it's the refusal of Democrats and Extremist Environmentalists refusing to open large American reserves that would significantly increase the supply. Supply and demand dictate the prices. Bush is more of the driver for Ethanol via corn. How are these handled? However one can. In many cases it may mean that they can't.

Liberals in the late 1970's made a rush to judgment by passing a bill that protects the environment to the point of not allowing ANY more oil refineries to be built. PERIOD.The refineries out there can't be upgraded, are running very inefficiently, and due to the increase in fuel demand in the United States... Supply is little and demand is high. Why are you blaming a president when a president has nothing to do with supply, demand, and laws that were established 30 years before his being elected?

None of those people have raised the price of anything. I'm sure, like always, most of the poor will deal with these challenges.

For the 1,000,000th time, Bush doesn't set oil prices. Global demand and commodities speculators do. Even OPEC doesn't, ultimately. As far as the corn thing, we tried this crap before, back in the 70's. Didn't work then either. It takes more energy to turn corn into fuel than it does to turn oil into gas. Plus, wait'll the tree huggers hear about central american rain forests being clear cut to plant corn fields. (Yes, thats happening.) And the poor mexican peasants the left is so in love with can no longer afford tortillas. Not kidding here, saw it on the news a few months back.

The one thing our government has allowed, is an oil menopoly, and they are content with feeding the beast.Ethanol does not compete at all.....its just evidence of what happen's when we dont allow the freemarkets to introduce alternative technologies like on demand hydrogen hybrid's vehicles.......this is a very sensible invention, and posses no danger as an on demand use.....see this short video on the inventor and see it in use.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rb_rDkwGnU

Actually, Bush has don nothing to raise oil prices. In fact, he is one of the few pushing for Congress to open up Anwar Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico to U.S. Drilling. He has also asked the EPA to lift the moratorium on building new refineries (the U.S. hasn;t built a refinery since mid 1970's due to environmental retards). The ONLY people responsible for the high price of oil are the Environmentalist idiots and the democrats who bow at their alter. If we became less reliant on foreign oil, do you have any idea how much prices would drop? When we buy crude oil from other countries, we pay trade tarriffs, the cost of shipping it thousands of miles, and the cost of storing and transferring it.) If we drilled our own oil, there would be no foreign taxes or tarriffs to pay. The cost of shipping would be a FRACTION of what it is now. And with new, up-to-date refineries that can better handle the demand, there will be less of a need to spending money on "reserves".

I love how that specific same group of people that are always on here with that same chorus on so many issues come bounding to the "Oil Mens rescue" ..it's amazing like they've all been vetted on the talking points and have a combined agenda...anyway.. you are on to it.. Left/right... is all show and go for those of us not in the know... Hillary is suddenly against all expectations back in the lead ? Amazing right..YOU know that Hillary's voting record is more GOP-centric than Giulianni.... she will absolutely get in lock-step with big business agro and make the small farmer bleed as much as ever. There is no end in sight, or more specifically I believe there is no going back. We are on a trajectory now that is totally in support of corporate profit.. and steals it from the very people that buy the products that are Milled and grown and sewn on our lands that our families owned before the last round of pilfering... it will have taken 150 years but by the time we reach the middle of this century we will be fully automated two class planet.. the poor and the extremely rich only. The middle class and the food growers will have been replaced completely and we will all find our places in this new construct...
