I was wondering, because with every price going up it's insane!gas will be $4 dollars soda is $2 dollars milk is about $5 dollars gosh, and with minimum wage and not enough jobs out there.do you think their will be a time when we will have to fight and struggle on a daily basis to survive? thank you.

I think we are very near to economic collapse. Once the housing market crashes, people will not be able to afford homes. And the US dollar will become as worthless as the peso. The best thing to do is to invest in something like gold. Gold will always appreciate in value.

Yes if politics keep going the way they are. We need someone other then a Rep or a Dem, and hopefully elect Ron Paul to set this country straight.Our dollars are essentially worthless, and the world views them as less and less powerful, pretty soon things are gonna get worse.

Well, in Michigan we're already in a recession and if something doesn't change we'll have a depressed economy.. But I doubt there will ever be something like the "great" depression again... there are a lot of laws and policies set-up to protect us from that happening again.

We're working on it. Even though the political officials deny it, the country is in a recession and is quickly careening toward depression.

I think the U.S. is about to fall into major depression in the next 1-3 years only the government will call it a "recession"'cause it doesn't sound as bad. Save your pennies now.

Google Smoot-Hawley act.A depression doesn't effect just a single country, it effects the world.A depression has nothing to do with inflation, depression's occur during times of deflation. Prices fall. If price fall people will put off purchasing believing they will be cheaper in the future. The economy will grind to a halt.
