How is 2008 looking for you?

Gas prices will probably creep up, food prices are going up, unemployment is a persistent problem, and the word "recession" is getting tossed around. From where I sit, things aren't shaping up so well for the new year. How do things look from your point of view?

2008 so far has been up and down, in the process of a divorce, looking for a job, yet i am stilllllllllll hopeful that this year will be the most magical in my life...how can i say that with all this going on?i believe life is beautiful

looks pretty crappy from this end but not as bad as last year...I find myself newly single and facing the world as a single parent yet again... but I just got a raise so money isnt a problem, kids are healthy, bills are paid - I would say, even though its starting off not looking great it couldnt possibly get any worse that the previous years...
