Default Can you walk from Port Huron, MI Amtrak station to the VIA Rail station Sarnia, ON ?

Since they no longer have a straight route from Chicago to Montreal I was considering Amtrak to Port Huron, Michigan and then walking or taking a shuttle to Sarnia, Ontario. From there I would take the VIA Rail to Montreal (after a transfer in Toronto)Is there some kind of a shuttle service ? Can you simply walk the 10 km ? (after passing customs of course).

You can't walk across, or haven't been able to since sometime in the 80's at which point they removed the sidewalks on the bridge to make room for an extra vehicle lane. You can take a cab for around $15. Try:City Cab 810-984-4109 http://www.ridewithcity.comBorder City Cab 519-344-8272
