Default Free parking at the Amtrak station in Trenton NJ (TRE)?

My friends and I are wanting to travel to NYC next winter but we don't really want to drive in Manhattan. We are looking at taking a train into the city. Does the amtrak station in Trenton NJ have free parking? Is there another cheap route that we could take? Thanks for any advice!If not, do you know the price?
